LDC Application to Connect

Grid tied solar energy systems must submit an application to the local distribution company (LDC) before connection is permitted.  The application is called a ‘connection application’.  Each utility has its own forms and requirements.  Some connection applications must be accompanied by a fee. 

The process for large systems (>10kW of inverter rating) is much different than for small systems.
